Kent State Sophomore Anthony Winston is tackling every obstacle thrown at him these days and Kent State East Liverpool has helped him with one of the biggest obstacles in his life. Attending Kent State East Liverpool campus was one of the best decisions that Anthony has ever made.
Faculty Spotlight
While at a scientific conference that focused on Huntington's Chorea years ago, Kent State University biologist, Dr. Qunxing Ding, recalls listening to a presentation from a 12-year-old boy. "He was so polite, talking with us, showing us his artwork," Ding recalls. "Then our hosts said he had the modified gene formation that would result with him having Huntington's disease before he was 21."

Alumni Spotlight
Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School CEO and Kent State alumna Rebecca “Becky” Manning has come full circle. “Sometimes you can follow your dreams and go through the backdoor,” says the administrator who has seamlessly combined her leadership abilities with her love for music, theatre and dance. Manning, who once dreamed of becoming an actress, earned a bachelor’s degree in speech and special education from Kent State University after starting at KSU at East Liverpool.
