Early Childhood Education Bachelor of Science Degree

 
Welcome to the Kent State University at Salem  Early Childhood Education webpage.


Kent State University at Salem offers both the Associate of Arts and the Bachelor of Science Education in Early Childhood Education.  Early Childhood Education spans birth to age eight. The Ohio license is for teaching children ages three to eight, preschool through 3rd grade.


The Early Childhood Education program is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and Ohio's State Department of Education.


Kent State's early childhood program places a strong emphasis on field experience. Students will complete student teaching experiences in both pre-k and K-3 grades and numerous "field experience" hours associated with classes.
