Undergraduate Research Conference Fall 2013

Proposal Deadline Now Extended to 5pm November 22nd!
KSU Salem students from all disciplines and programs are invited to participate in the ninth annual Undergraduate Research Conference to be held on Thursday, December 5th. Applications to present are now being accepted!
The conference will feature student presentations about research they completed during the 2013 calendar year or in collaboration with a Salem Campus faculty member. Presentations may be in the form of oral presentations, panel discussions, poster presentations or creative performances. Reports of in-progress research will also be accepted.
How to Apply
- Complete the online application by 5 pm on Friday, November 22nd.
- Presenters may be nominated by a faculty member or they may self-nominate.
- Faculty nominations may be submitted to Lilith Kunkel through e-mail, in a letter, or by filling out a nomination form. Nominations must be received before 12 noon on Tuesday, November 12th.
Undergraduates at any level and in any discipline may report on research in for-credit Kent Salem classes or in collaboration with a member of the Salem Campus faculty during the 2013 calendar year. are eligible to participate. Students in online classes are eligible if they travel to Salem to present at the conference. Research presented at previous Salem Undergraduate Research Conferences is not eligible for presentation. All presenters must have a Salem Campus faculty sponsor.
Participation offers students the opportunity to be recognized for their research, share what they have learned, and engage in discussion with the academic community. Students who present will be eligible to win one of the prizes established to encourage excellence in student research.
1st prize $200.
2nd prize $100.
3rd prize $50.
