Career Counseling

Sometimes, even with all the career-related sites on the Internet, students need to sit down and “talk” to an advisor or counselor about their goals and career needs. Often the simple act of talking makes a problematic situation seem clearer. If you don’t have any idea of what your major should be, if you don’t like the major that you have chosen, or if you are having academic problems in the coursework in your major, it would be a good idea to make an appointment with the career counselor.

The career counselor is available for personal appointments at Kent State University at Columbiana County Campus.

East Liverpool students e-mail Deborah Woods, dwoods1@kent.edu  to make an appointment and list several good days and times in your e-mail message. For exact days and times that the career counselor will be available, please call Deborah at 330-382-7528 or e-mail to dwoods1@kent.edu.

Salem students e-mail Danielle Baker-Rose, dbaker13@kent.edu to make an appointment and list several good days and times in your e-mail message. For exact days and times that the career counselor will be available, please call Danielle at 330-337-4214 or e-mail to dbaker13@kent.edu

You may also stop in the career office. For exact days and times that the career counselor will be available, please call or e-mail the counselor at your respective campus.

High school juniors and seniors are also invited to visit the career counselor to discuss college plans and majors.
Simply call or e-mail for an appointment.  The following sites will help high school students prepare for the S.A.T.
